GH3 or Rockband ?

I usually play by myself, don't have a lot of friends over..

I have played gh2 once.. and went to a friends house and checked out rockband(didn;t like that guitar)

So... I was thinkin i could buy gh3 wireless. and bring it over to that guys house to play. Cuz it might be kinda boring playing rockband by yourself.

or.... do I wait for GH4 to come out this year ?

I haven't played Rockband, but I hear it really sucks playing it solo. It's really meant to be played with others. The major differences between the Guitar Hero games are the songs, so get GH3 if you like the songs... if you don't, I'd say wait.

Guitar hero 3 is better if you're looking for challenging songs. Rockband is a lot easier (as far as guitar goes) but is great if you can field an entire band. If you'll be playing solo you may want to wait. the drums are probably the only fun you can have alone

yea, like odd1 said, rock band has much easier guitar parts and is more about the overall band, but i have rock band and play solo all the time, usually on drums, and its still fun because its a different challenge. you can find people online to play with but the solo tour for drums is good enough for me. and if you have an xbox 360 you can buy the guitar hero 3 wireless or wired guitar and be able to play with on rock band. my only issue with the wireless guitar was that it would sometimes not pick up on notes hit becuase of the detachable neck and that you would need to stock up on double a's. rock band also has MUCH more downloadable content and full cds to download coming soon enough. hope that helps some.

I liked Rockband more then GH3 but its only because I played with friends. Its not really a solo kinda game. Friends=Rockband, Solo=GH3

Well, I bit the bullet and bought rockband...(played it a few more times at a friends house)

I am really satisfied with my purchase and the drums are really hard to me (learning curve)... also gives me more things to do other than the guitar..

Fantastic game.

now i need a 2nd guitar(GH2/3 here we come haha)

or i wait and get the wireless RB guitar in may

I have GH2, GH3, and Rockband (split it with my friend, he got the drums) --- all for 360.

GH2 is probably what I play the most. It has the best song selection out of all three of the games, and is the 'funnest' to play in my opinion.

GH3 has a bunch of crappy songs that arent even fun. They are rhythm the whole time even when you hear the solo. And some parts are just impossible to play (I completed Expert), and it really makes the game not fun. I mean in GH2 there were parts that were hard, but playable. Not in GH3. They made it so you cant be perfect.

As said before, Rockband is for groups. The guitar is easier, song selection is better, but single player is not as fun. And dont try using that GH3 guitar with it cause it won't work (or vice versa)

The GH2 guitar is the best guitar. You can slide up and down the neck easier than the wireless epiphone.
