What do you guys game on? I have an LCD, but I want a larger television. I've heard that DLP is better to game on because there's no motion blur. I doubt i'll even consider a plasma because of the whole burn-in issue. I've just found great prices and deals for DLP. Anyone like DLP or what's your preference?

I have a 62" DLP and I freakin' love it for gaming & everything else.

I think the only reason Plasma/LCD flat screens outsell DLP's is because it's "sexier" to mount a flat panel on the wall.

Me, I knew from the get-go that I was going to get an entertainment center to go around my set & preferred the idea of putting my TV (which is still not very deep) on a matching stand because of that. Even more importantly, I knew from looking at the different types of sets side-by-side that DLP's rendered the most beautiful picture quality of the three (IMO). Plus the pricing on a DLP just can't be beat by the other technologies for the same sized screens.

If you are really in the market for a DLP set, take a look at ubid.com & check out some of the factory refurbs as well. I got mine for about $1,000 less, after delivery, than full retail and I have not had any problems with it whatsoever in the 9 months I have had it (Toshiba BTW - but a friend is looking at Samsung's right now & they are also outstanding).

hugo, do you prefer the DLP or the LCD? I heard motion blur is a problem with LCD. Haven't seen any recent issues with DLP sets.

Thanks for the review Backdoor, I agree about what you've said about the DLPs. The more I read about it the more I get sold on the idea of getting a DLP next time around. Do you have a picture of your set up?

I also found a circuitcity deal for 100$ off ( Coupon Code HZAJLA6AKD).

I got a 19' Sceptre computer monitor that has a hd switch on it. kinda sucks when you want to use the computer and watch tv at the same time.

BUT!! 62" DLP would be the way to go in my opinion

I have a 42" plasma and a dlp projector, love them both. The burn-in issue is not that big of a problem anymore. No matter which one you decide it's hard to go wrong. Technology rocks...

Yeah, I want something 50" or bigger, but I think if I do get that and go below 60" then I will just end up wanting another bigger TV really soon. There's not really a reason not to go 60" + because the prices are really reasonable and its got a pretty slim depth considering the size.
