They've gone to the second worst record last season to looking like a finals contender with the acquisition of Garnett and Allen. It'll be exciting to see what they can do I know they blew away the wizards the other night by twenty points. Garnett almost had a triple-double and Pierce and Allen both had at least twenty points. Anyone else a Celtics fan, or basketball fan for that matter. I live in the Northeast now so it's automatically assumed that you are either a Red Sox or Yankees fan, but I can't stand baseball---it's so god-damn boring. Anyway, basketball and/or Celtics fans let's hear it.

They are already my fav to come out of the East on top. Too bad the West will win again. :)

Hell of a year for Boston sports.
Sox win the series, Pats have a great chance to go all the way, BC is on top of the BCS, and now the Celts are amazing as well.
how are the Bruins this year?

Third in their division.
But you are right, hell of a time to be a Boston sports fan. The parties must be nuts!

Yeah the only team they have to worry about in the east are the Pistons or Nets. Bulls are not looking good this year so far.

Celtics are under the Curse of Len Bias, from 1986. They haven't won since and won't into the far distant future.

Wouldn't bet on that. They have three elite players on the team now. Most teams can win it all with only two.
They have something that could be big in the next few years.

meh....no one can even pronounce their team name correctly, it should sound like this: Boston Keltics, not Boston Seltics Besides, I like having curses to talk about, you should know that. Fun for me while they last, I get :owned: if they don't.

I really think they have a shot, they will obviously build the team around Garnett, but when you have Pierce and Allen filling two other key roles--they look very good. The one thing I think may hurt them is that they don't have much depth on the bench after trading half their team away to get Allen and Garnett. That and if they can stay injury free, they will certainly make it to the final 4 at least.
Anything is better than last season! If they don't win the finals, and I'm not saying they will, they certainly will have an opportunity to refine their team for the next season, by picking up some added players--preferably a good center, and point guard.

Saw a great little clip/fact on ESPN the other night. It was the city of Boston thanking Minnesota for all the gifts they have given us; David Ortiz, Randy Moss & KG.

Well just wait to see when Boston plays in San Antonio or Phoenix or at the lakers. Then well see just how good they are. So far they havent really played any great teams

Pierce scored 31 points last night, and the Celtics blew away the Pacers last night. KG had another double/double, and Ray Allen came alive in the third quarter after being scoreless in the first two. Yeah I know they really haven't played any good teams yet, but they're tremendously better than last year. San Antonio or Phoenix will be tough again this year, but the Lakers?

I dont think Boston fans give a rats azz about curses anymore. That ship has sailed.
That being said, I havent really given a flying fuck about the Celts since the mid 90's..but these guys look pretty good right now. RIGHT NOW!! We'll see, it's a long season but it's nice to see Peirce with a supporting cast other than Mr. Donut. (Antoine Walker)

Well, you have just proven you are nothing more than a bandwagon fan. When the Red Sox and Pats fall from the top, I suppose you won't give a flying fuck about them either. A true fan supports their team always, through thick and thin. Enjoy your fun while it lasts.

Wow, a shot right across my bow. Your'e wrong however. I've been a pats fan through thick and thin and will continue to be..no matter what. As for the Sox..ding ding! you win! I couldn't care less whether they win or lose. But I will admit to enjoying the good times they are providing the region. Is that ok? As for the NBA I guess your right there too. But since the frigin' Pistons started winning with the NBA's version of the neutral zone trap, i've found the Celt's and the rest of the league boring and unwatchable.
Do I have to be a fan of everything New England?? I know UMASS has a very good chess team but you wont find me buying tix for that. OK??

They're 11-1 now, still the best record in the league. They've also have the best-rated defense in the league. Did you see that Sunday night game? They played like shit the whole game, but Allen hit the game-winning buzzer-beater for the one point victory!
