For now, we'll mention only that there are renewed question as to whether the Colts are pumping fake crowd noise into their home games.

meh - non-issue IMO

how isn't creating fake crowd noise cheating? It not anywhere near as bad as what the pats did.. but its still cheating.

stealing play calls is cheating.

making crowd noise, particularly when your OWN team is on offense, is not.

It's noise - it isn't breaking any official rules, and it's all alleged anyway

maybe somebody somewhere cares (more than likely a fan of a team that has really cheated), but no, you'll have to do better than that - at least for me to give a shit.

I refuse to get worked up over non-issues, but if you want to, more power to you - me, I'm too old for that shit.

Crowd noise made by the crowd is one thing, and its why home field is important to get that "12th" man out there. And your right, its only alleged, it could have just been a stall in the mic's or maybe even the transmission of the game feed. But if it is the doing of the Colts, it is cheating. And it wasn't happening when the colts had the ball.. only when the pats did.. so the home team wasn't on the field when this was happening?

All in all.. im really just stating that cheating isn't exclusive to the pats. They just got caught! and im not worked up about that.. my packers dont play either of those teams this season, well not until the superbowl!

like I said maybe somebody somewhere cares, and if you see it as "cheating" then fine, but I can't see it as anything more than "unethical" - kinda like calling a time-out a split-second before an opposing team's kicker is about to put the game-winner through the uprights...not a violation of the rules per se, just exploiting whatever resource you can to squeeze out a win.

im pretty sure it is a violation of the rules to pump in fake noise..

Violation of "the rules" or not (and if it is, it's gotta be minor), I find it laughable that most of the complaints are coming from New England fans (sorta like what I assumed would happen in my second post in here).

soooo predictable... :jerkit:

Sorry, but as far as "cheating tactics" go, this isn't even close to the same scale as what those guys did.

once again, BFD - it's real hard to care about this...although I am sure that francesca would have an interesting thought or two to lend...perhaps crissycruz would as well...

thanks, I am not following pro football anymore and missed that thread. The game just isn't the same to me as it used to be. I can honestly say the only thing about Pro football that interests me is when the Dallas Queerboys get beat.

Yeah, I lost interest in NFL along time ago. I'm starting to get back into it again this last year though.

So is it cheating like the 06 St. Louis Cardinals putting up opponent pitchers speeds below what the television crew was recording?
Or the 05 Huston Astros closing the roof even on good weather days to create more noise inside the park?

Like the Jeebus says...I see it as being dinks more then cheating.

I can see where adrenaline's coming from here. "Crowd" noise is one thing, but to use fake crowd noise is overkill.

It's like using a bunch of huge fans to help stop a kicker from making a field goal. Sure, wind is something he has to deal with, but let's keep it limited to real wind.

Thanx Jabooty, Great to see that peach of a guy Polian get his vindication. Backdoor Jesus..puhleeez! If the Pats were accused of turning a 68,000 seat stadium into a 100,000 seat stadium that only got loud when thier opponents were on offense..there would be a hue and cry around the NFL and it's fans to turn Foxboro mass into Kabul.

nah dude - the Pats got caught really cheating...I don't think this noise allegation, even if it had been true, would even come close to that.

just be happy - your guys won, you wont have to worry about Indy again until the playoffs, if then.

I am happy believe me. But if true, it really would be cheating. Why?? It's against the rules. BTW, the pats were without coach to qb communication the entire game. There was Problem with the radio feed and had to signal the plays in from the sideline. Ironic huh?
I'm just sayin' you can downplay the piped in crowd noise allegations all you wish, but make no mistake..if the Pats were accused of this there would have been an entirely different reaction. Not only by you but every non Pats fan around the league.

heh yeah I will downplay it - since I didn't believe it in the first place, and it seems that evidence supports my original belief.

I will also reiterate that the only people who seem to REALLY have serious issue with this are New England fans, no reason to think you would be any different than the rest of your crew. And as far as I'm concerned - hey man, whatever you gotta tell yourself to make you feel better about what your team was caught doing; I could care less either way.

Like I said, what your team was doing was BLATANT, and this infraction, if it were even true, pales in comparison.

I do like the idea presented in your "Go Pats" thread of giving your boys an asterisk if they do actually go undefeated after being caught so blatantly cheating this season - I would personally laugh my ass off at that my friend.

And yes, I'm just baiting you, I know - I shouldn't post after drinking heavily LOL.

Word on the street, and more importantly in the sports media, is that the unusual noises were the result of glitchy equipment involved in the broadcast. Apparently only those watching the game on TV heard the noises.

I'm inclined to believe this, because the Colts seem to be a classy organization, unlike the Pats.

You aint SEEN classy yet. Wait 'till the Colts AND Bolts are on the same field this week. That game is gonna be so classy it'll make you puke. There wont be enough room for all the halos on that field.

Ha! I'm not taking the bait. Because i know that you know that I know that 'Spygate' actually has LESS to with THIS season than any previous season. Right? I post shitfaced all the time. But you can probably tell that.

Not much really. Just public perception. According to Ladanian Tomlinson he is a very "classy" player playing for a classy team. Another poster here referenced the Colts a "classy" organization. Yipee. So round up the kids folks and gather 'round the boob tube!! We'll all be better people after watching this game!! Tongue firmly in cheek.
