Yeah. I took the stuff to quit smoking. It blocks your nicotine recepters, meaning basically you smoke 3 times as much trying to get a fix. You are supposed to take it for a month and smoke on the first week.
I had problems sleeping, my heart raced, and it was a miserable experience. Eventually, I quit taking the Chantix and quit smoking because the side effects from the Chantix were far worse than the lack of nicotine. I say just man-up and quit.

I used the nicoderm patches to quit. Took about two weeks from start to finish & didn't smoke after day 1 (or since...almost a year now). Easiest quit I ever tried & no side effects whatsoever.

hey i work in a pharmacy and have seen many people quite using chantix. The odds of getting the side affect of vivid dreams is quite low. It will only work if you want to quite. But adverse reactions i have seen are; it making some people sick to there stomach and get cramps during the day, also the heart palpatations that bradleyNIN mentioned(heart racing). If your not sure about quiting this product works better than patches or gum but most insurances dont dont cover chantix. This is why a patch or gum is cheaper and you sound like you want to quite. As a side note of frustration i dont understand why insurances wont pay for the medication. Its retarded in my mind because they will pay for the albuterol and other meds that cronic smokers use later on due to the habit. If you can prevent this by paying 140 some dollars for the chantix why not do so and save money in the long run."
