I went to two of the games at dodger stadium this week and he didnt hit a homerun in any game. Now Giants are playing in San Diego.

:gives:

I wish I did, really. I would love to witness history, but not if it's tarnished.

I'll be more interested when it's A-Rod getting ready to set the new record

tarnished my ass.. even if he did take the 'roids.. 1) its ot been proven, 2) they dont make the guy hit the ball, they would just make him hit it farther.. but he's always been a contact hitter

the guys carrer batting average is almost .300.. thats pretty damn good if you ask me.

hank aarons carreer batting average was .305

so maybe he was taking the 'roids too.

if he plays as long as bonds or aaron.. 22 and 23 seasons.. he will shatter the record .. he is in season 14 right now.

maybe he's on roids too.

they probably all are/were

it would be easier to believe Barry if he hadn't started his career so small and somehow miraculously beefed up at a later age

but at this rate, A-Rod should indeed shatter it

who knows, later on somebody like Pujols? or Ryan Howard?

How True! But like I said earlier....he did tie the record tonight so I called it! :mstad: :coold: There's all kind of screwed-up things go'in on in sports. If OJ can keep his Heisman Trophy & remain in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, then they should'nt keep out Pete Rose out of the Baseball Hall of Fame forever....shit!!! Sure what he did was wrong, but that does'nt change what he did on the field!!!

I understand people are going to defend Bonds through all this, but please keep Hank's good name out of the steriod talk.

You do know he already admitted it to the Grand Jury right. He just said that he unknowingly took the cream and the clear.

When Bonds does break the record...& he will, they should put a BIG star by his name "very questionable". To many good players that set records in the 70's & 80's did so without cheating. Good way to stop it is for them not to recognize any record set by anyone that has taken "roids"......period! The Pro Baseball union is waaaay to powerful & is screwing-up the sport!!! :sad2:

They've talked about an asterix for years. Also said it will never happen.

I remember watching the rookie game of his dad, Bobby Bonds. He hit a grand slam against the Dodgers in his 2nd at bat.

koЯnut is correct, look at photos of Barry when he was a rookie, especially his head. In current photos, he has swollen lumps all over it. Duh, must be steroids. Probably the only thing on him that's small are his balls.

I wasn't even implying that i thought hank used the roids.. he played when they played for the love of the game.. now its all about the $..

But even if barry said he used the cream.. How long was he using it.. 1 month or 10 years.. Im sure its possible to bulk up like he has from hard work over 20 years.. but if that change has happened in the last 5.. then somethings fishy for sure..

Oh okay. Just hate when people add his name to the steroid conversation. I'm a big lover of baseball and it's history. I just think that anyone that didn't do it the right way is a piece of shit. I'm not just talking about Bonds either. I know that this problem is far from over and is a lot deeper that anyone can think.

I had a coworker, years ago, I guess he was about 18 and average build. He quit and rehired about 6 months later. Fucker turned into an Arnold Schwarznegger in his absence. Yeah, he admitted using steroids to do it. Plus endless hours in the local JC gym. I guess they were legal back then.

Its a tarnished record, disappointing that a cheat is going to hold it
