Whose a Commie at Heart? Mosin Nagant anyone?

Any of you appreciate soviet hardware? Mainly the Mosin Nagant M44? It's a popular gun right due to the fact of cheap ammo (440rds for about 44 bucks) and the cheapness of the weapon itself.

I'll tell ya, I had an AR-15 M4A3 but did not like it in comparasin. I don't know what my problem was. I guess there is nothing like firing the single loudest rifle ever and one whose muzzle flash can be seen from the space station at dusk. Who here knows what I am talking about?

Decent ammo for that gun isn't cheap, the ammo you're talking about is likely the Sodium Petrochlorate primed surplus crap that you have to clean the barrel with windex. But it isn't bad for a 100 dollar rifle.

Shutzenkonig is right, watch those corrosive primers. My friend bought one about 8 months ago and immediately got a synthetic stock. The bayonet doesn't fit anymore but it's pretty legit. Switching to a bent bolt to accommodate a better scope is a project we keep putting off. Ultimately a fun gun perfect for "semi-serious" medium game hunting and plinking.
