So they go on an 8 game tear, get right into the thick of the AL West...
And then Hargrove up and quits and they lose BADLY, followed by 2 or 3 more in the lose column.
Thought?

Tigers or Indians will be fighting with them for the wildcard. Hargrove or not, those guys are playing together very well. From what I've read, nobody listened to him anyway.

I thought Korny would have had something to day, being as they are his team...but alas...he has not.

Been so busy I haven't had much of a chance to post on WR.
But seriously...who the hell are these guys? It's a great time to be a M's fan. Things are finally clicking with this team. As long as we keep the consistency on both sides of the field we will give the Angels a run.
I really do hope we can grab one more starter though. H-Ram pitched great against Balt. tonight after coming off the DL, but our rotation is a big question. Not the bullpen though. Maybe the best in the A.L. J.J. is lights out and is making a case for himself to be considered the best closer in the game today.
It was huge resigning Ichiro too. The guy is the face of the team, and it would have crumbled without him. I think he's the best table setter in the game. Plus he's going to be a HOF'er with just his MLB numbers. You add his hits in Japan and the U.S. and it will put good ol' Pete to shame.
Now, if only Sexson and Ibanez can get back to form in the second half, and King Felix stays healthy, we will do bigger things.
Go M's.

Awesome...I've been waiting about 2 weeks for that response.
Now if only you would comment on what you think of the Hargrove issue, and what you think they will/should do aobut a replacement.

I think it's best for the team and the city really. Not a lot of people liked Grover in Seattle.
Plus the players love Mac. He's doing a great job lately. He did make some bad decisions in the first few games he was made manager, but that could have been over thinking.

So who are you cheering for in this series Korny?
Angels vs. Yankees. Both direct competition. Maybe a split?
