i took this pix at a nearby park at 0540 (sunrise time) . there is a forest fire to the north and the horizon smoke/haze from it filters out a lot of the blue light when the sun is low . the sky above still retains it's normal blue cast . look closely at the top side of the branches ... they show a different coloration than the trunks . the birches show the two colors quite well .
heh ... sidelit by strong orange-red , toplit by soft blue light .

(the file is big enough to comfortably print an 8X10 for those that wish to)

why would someone want to print this?

hmmm ...

weeelll , no one has to print it . i make it available to those that personally find it worth printing (or use for wallpaper) . personal tastes are just that ; the "why" is strictly up to the individual .

it is also one of the small ways that i say "thank you" to other members : those that contribute to and maintain this site .

Nice pic. You may want to try a different file host since that one took about 3 minutes to load for me.

Beautiful area though, is that the ocean or a lake behind it?

BTW, enjoy your red smart ass, get more than 16 leecher posts and think you can bad mouth anything.

Nice shot, particulates in the air always change the light, sometimes with beautiful results.
