Hey everyone, my first post, and I'm supposed to be writing my speech for communications class :eek3: .Anyway I was wondering if some of you out there that have gone through college and the whole works could give me some insight into what was worth doing/not worth doing, what worked/didn't work, anything that you did or didn't do that might be helpful to someone going through it now. I've just spent the day doing homework and writing all day, while the past two days where nothing short of 13 hour days (between work and school) and I'm in that "I give up" mood. Just want to hear what some of you have gone through, either work+school, work without school, school without work, military and school, and anything like that. Trials and tribulations of how what you did payed off or screwed you over. I'm 20, working 20-30 hours a week in retail, attending college full time, have a girlfriend and hoping someone will shed some light on how life can turn out. Thanks everyone, and thanks for these forums, interesting and informative!

Sounds cheesy and all but really, just live life one day at a time. Focus on what you have to do today, finish it, then spend the rest of it doing whatever it is you enjoy, or finding new things.
Don't treat your life like a job high school - college - work - die. Its just to depressing, enjoy it while it lasts!

Don't give up! Stay focused and keep going to school. It took me 7 years to get through college. It sucked all the time with the work load and having to work and trying to keep up with all the other bull shit going on,but in the end when I graduated and got my first job out of school it suddenly became worth it. With a degree you are going to start out making something like 20 G more than a person with out one.
As for what worked and didn't work for me, I cant really say. It's going to be different for everyone. I can tell you this,If you quit you will regret it. Maybe not today or tommorow, but you will always wonder what your life would be like had you stayed in schoool and finished.
