im building a traditional samurai sword anybody got any advice on building swords or knives.

Folding steel is NOT easy, especially with the skill to make a katana or wakazashi. You'd be better off just trying to make something non-folded that LOOKS like a 'samurai sword' - you won't need a decade of apprenticeship then. In any case, yeah - bladeforums is a great place to start.

i got the steel prefolded cause thre guy im building it with folds it and we got supper lucky on this old shack in the ciountry has perfect ventilation so we built a forge with cinder blocks, a pipe and a blowdrier
