I am doing our Thanksgiving dinner this Saturday all by myself. I have cooked only about 3 turkey's by myself. They were ok, but not spectacular. I am determiend to make this one splendid. I have never stuffed or brined my turkey. I am normally and wash and baste in butter kinda girl.

advice?

advice?

you can find some good stuffing recipies on allrecipies.com and I always butter my turkey and then I pour a beer over it, then I baste at least every 30 min, the beer adds a flavor, but you can not tell it is beer.

I understand that, the basics like mashed potatoes and veggies of some sort, just add a little kick, 90% of people love garlic, just use a little and it will be tasty.

Someone taught me a GREAT recipe for a roasted garlic appetizer last summer...have you ever served a whole roasted head of garlic before? You chop the top, drizzle with oilve oil, and roast in the oven until brown and tender and then serve with warm brie cheese for the top and spread it all on a baguette?
