no outside links till ya have a star, itl prolly slide.. but especially when its to other forums. i know about them and how they work, but ive heard so many people say this is the 4th time going through the methadone program..i wanted to hear if anyone had any sucess stories.

Try buprenorphine its better than methadone and you should be able to get it prescribed to you.

there are two different tracks to methadone. One is methadone maintance which is a long term treatment, usually no effort to detox. With maintance the stress is on leading a producitve life with out the drug-street life style( harm reduction). The other track is detox, which in essence is you are put on a dose of methadone to prevent sickness and than slowly reduce the dose intill you get off of methadone. Clinics usually will offer a sliding scale fee for people who work and dont have insurance coverage.
