I just bought a 4 gigabyte SD card for my digital camera, a Argus 5150. Anyways, as soon as I put the SC card in the camera, the camera refuses to start up, so maybe it doesn't support SD card's over 1 or 2 gigs? I have an USB reader so I can hook it up to my PC. My question is, what programs would I be able to create a new partition so hopefully the card will be 1 or 2 gigs? I've already tried Norton Partition Magic but it wouldn't detect the USB 2.0 SD card like Windows does.

check the cameras manual to see if there is a max card limit

i use partition magic tbh for my external usb drives, so dunno why that wouldnt work :S

Partition Magic recognizes my USB 2.0 160 gig hard drive, but it doesnt recognize the SD card, maybe b/c it's not an actual hard drive w/ disks and sectors and such. oh btw the camera manual doesnt say that theres a limit, it just says that it takes an SD card.

is the card formatted to the fat or fat32 or ntfs standard the camera will recognise ?

Use a different firmware if possible.
