My wife and I are thinking about travelling to Lisbon. Has anyone been their or have any comments about Lisbon?

Cool, its a nice place.
Lisbons a small city. The old quarter, Alfama, is worth a look, with its huge aqueduct and palace.
Cascais, nearby, is cool enough. An old fishing village, lots of watersports.
Belem tower should be seen.
Theres also a lot of forest/hills/palaces outside the city.
If you get a chance, head south to the Algarve for a few days. A lot of tourist spots down there, but if you avoid the main ones its really worth a look.
Summer Temps are around 35 - 40 degrees c.......95 - 104 F.

I agree with Tuathal. Lisbon might be my favorite major city, probably because it has a small town feel.
After seeing Lisbon, you should definitely head south to the Algarve. My favorite spot is Salema. It's a small, quiet seaside town, so if you like seafood, it doesn't get any fresher. Besides that, it is just a really nice place to be.
Also, your dollar/Euro goes further in Portugal than the other Western European countries.
Plus, I really love the language.
Have fun. Post pictures if you go.
