Um... since this question somewhat concerns digital media, thought i'd post this under "digital photography"...

i was wondering if anyone knows of softwares out there that can convert .3gp file format that you get from phone video recorder into a more common .mpg or .avi format???

Hmmm. Well I know that Quicktime 7 on my Mac has a conversion function somewhere in its menus. You can get Quicktime for windows I'm sure.
