glock? dont know much about guns though..I would assume you get good with any gun, as long as you spend alot of time with it, it wouldnt seem like any diffrent pistol would be "better". Define "better", though im not sure i know what you mean.

I'm no expert, but for a beginer who wants to do target shooting, I'd say go with a smaller caliber pistol. Maybe a .22

If its just a target pistol you're looking for, go with either a....
Sig Trailside Target
Browning Buckmark
Or a
Ruger Mark II

All .22LR
Depends on how much you're willing to spend of course

check your area for local shooting ranges.sometimes they rent out artillary peices. it's the best way for you to figure it out. remember to that shorter the barrel the more difficult it is to handle.dont let the difficulty take away from the fun spending brass!

well...the official sport uses .22 caliber semi-automatic pistols...is that the answer you're looking for

i concur on the ruger mkII. If you just want to shoot targets for fun and practice on getting your pistol marksmanship fundamentals down, go with a .22, or a .22 conversion for a larger pistol so you have something to graduate up to.
