Anyone have any luck with soviet made guns? I have a Mosin Nagant, 44 i belive it was made in the last year of the war. Has all the soviet emblems, I still need to clean it, Should i even try to fire it ( after a cleaning) or just stare at it in amazement of history.

depends on the condition of the weapon. it;s really a judgement call. there's no reason that a gun that old can't be fired safely if it's clean and in good condition.

I have several WWI and WWII rifles and pistols including a mosin nagant. Just make sure your barrel has no severe pitting in it or stress cracks. Check make sure firing pin and bolt are in good shape. buy some ammo for it and have some fun.
