What have i done with my life??

ok im josh im 18 and my life is so fucked up right now...
i graduated last year from high school with a 3.71 gpa and i did well in school. then i started to go to a local JR collage and took like 4 courses, well my habits got the best of me, i decided i needed more money so i got a job at burger king and started not being able to do my homework and work too... then i just stopped going to class altogeather...... well here to the part i nned advice at.... i got a pell grant which is direct cash aid.... it was 1,200 and i used it to pay off stuff and buy stuff.. well when i failed my courses they sent a letter saying i needed to pay back 187.00 to them for a failed corse.. but i didnt have any money so i stupidly wrote a check on my grams account ( i was living there) for the amount and sent it off... well IT BOUNCED and she found out... she was hella pissed and kicked me out.. i payed her back, but becuase i had no money my friend from work let me move in with him.... but now all im doing is working and sleeping... i dont know what to do with my life from now.. and i need advice im drifting and im afraid im gonna end up working all my life at BK,

man , writing a hot check on your grandma's account is just wrong on few levels ... good thing that you paid it back and aint in the cross-bar motel (there is something to be greatful for) ... now , don't that kind of stuff again ... the karma will get you .

years ago , i found myself "adrift" like you speak of ... i learned to think things thru and stick with the winners .

I would go back to school, and stop working at BK. Get a job where you can work evenings, or maybe even work AT the school, You just need to manage time better. And the PELL grant is supposed to be used for school, not to buy stuff.

Alright, heres a dumb idea. Enlist in the military. If you do it though, make sure that you get anything the recruiter tells you in writing and only sign up for a term your comfortable with.

Aww man, that is not that bad. 18? Haven't murdered anyone or made any MAJOR mistakes like that? Well then you have plenty of time to set things straight. After a while you will get sick enough with crap jobs that you will get a direction and some goals. I blew off school twice, just like you did, untill i finally had enough. Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. After a while you will want to use it.

Three things though:
1. Easy on the booze and drugs. - Too much of that WILL put your life in the crapper, often for good.
2. Don't burn familly. - Bad bad karma.
3. Go have fun. Life isn't all about school or work.

Just my two cents. You have to be young and silly before you can be old a wise.

I was kinda the same way. What I did was I got a good night job and took classes during the day. Sometimes it's hard, but if you need to study for a test you can't go out and party all the time.
