Barcelona

I am going on a cruise to the South of France later on this month. We are getting off of the ship in Barcelona, and staying the day.

I have one day in Barcelona, should get there early AM (9ish) and flying out the next day at around 11am.

If anyone has any suggestions on some of the must do things there, please pass along. Any info. would be greatly appreciated, as well as any tips, guidance for going to Barcelona. Thanks in advance.

Well, i've been to barcelona many times, but funnily enough never overnighted there. Its a nice city with a long beach on the Mediterranean. Theres a lot of 15th century buildings in the gothic quarter. Montjuic - 1992 olympic site is worth a look, as is Tibidabo - a local hill overlooking the city(a lot to do here.)

Walk up and down Las Ramblas once, sit down at a pavement cafe, order a bottle of wine and watch a never ending parade of beautiful girls from all over the world.......cost 20 bucks max........unbeatable

just got back yesterday. Did Las Ramblas and went with the cafe/wine/girl combo. Quality scenery. Also went to the Olympic stadium, etc. Barca a highly recommended stop if you're in Spain.

Great city, was there in March, great people, great food, great drinks, great women.
