Can anyone recommend a place to stay? Preferably a hostel. Planning a backpacking trip around the end of August and would like some recommendations.

If you're traveling with a group of friends, and you're planning to spend a few days in prague, try and get an apartment. Some of them work out cheap enough and some of the agents will pick you up from the airport (if you're flying in).
Never stayed in any hostels when i was there, so cant help with that. But its a great city, you'll enjoy it.
Just keep away from the absinthe - brutal stuff.
