Basically I have been smoking weed.....a whole lot for almost 2 years straight now. I started on a gravity and now have way too high of a tolerance. The longest I have been without smoking is 5 days and it almost killed me. I am in college and have literally depleted my funds and need to quit. I feel like an idiot asking because I used to say there never was any kind of "addiction" (i am pretty sure I have a psychological dependency) but ....I need to quit...anyone have any good ideas on how to avoid that "craving"? Thanks in advance for any suggestions/help.

All I can say is suck it up and do it. I was the biggest pothead for years, with a hell of a tolerance. I would take multiple rips on my 4ft. peice, with quality stuff, and not be gone. One day I decided to quit, and did. It sucked fir about 2 or 3 weeks but its worth it. After about a month I stopped even thinking about it. You just have to get past the first couple of weeks and its all good. Good luck man.

start doing something that takes your mind off of smoking. i think a good thing would be to go to the gym at your college and work out. or, get a/get another part time job to support your "hobby", not addiction. or you could start growing your own herb.

Bud addiction can be a pretty tough thing to deal with, there are a couple of support groups that you can join, if you were into that kind of thing. adog8me summed it up pretty good, if you can get past the first couple of weeks, it will be all down hill.

Yeah that does suck, I'm kinda in the same position. I usually smoke anywhere from quarter to half-o every three days and it definately puts you in a financial bind. :werd: on it being a psychological addiction as from what I understand weed has no actual physical addictions. adog8me does indeed sum it all up pretty well.
