exactly how much does an eigth weigh?

i know that weed is measured most commonly by eigths. When you put an eigth on the scale, how much does the scale read?

3.5 grams. every time. if it doesn't say 3.5, then you say "f you" to whoever is selling it to you and walk off. an oz weighs 28 grams. there are 8 eighths in an oz. 28/8=3.5. and if it still looks small or something, you can check the scale's calibration. clean it off then weigh a nickel. it should weigh 5 grams even. if its more, then you're being shorted however much more than 5 grams the coin weighs. if it weighs 5.3, you're being shorted .3 on an 8th. dont get ripped off!

what planet are you all wieghing you dope on? an 8th of an ounce is 3.5 grams. a normal sandwich bag with out zip lock wieghs .7 grams, so gonga and plastic all together should be 4.2 grams on the scale. An eighth, or one eighth of one ounce (28.3 grams), should weigh 3.54 grams, and as stated before, don't forget the weight of the bag - sandwich bags with no zip-lock should weigh .7-1.0g, and zip-lock styles sometimes weigh up to 2 grams.

Generally 4.2, with baggy, little more if they are weird and use ziplock with the big slider things. Good idea from the guy who said measure just a plain nickel at zero, some people also use the two finger deep rule, but sometimes that can be a disadvantage.

yea u guys are crazy for thinking 3grams is an eighth....usually dealers will give a 3.6-3.7 of weight (not including bag) for about $40-50......but pickin up by higher weight is better :jerkit: :jerkit:

i'm a medical marijuana patient. eighth is 1/8 of ounce, 3.5 grams. ounce=28g. qp=114g. lb=454g. when you are buying more than an ounce, you should get at least those amounts (114, 454). most heads will hook it up a few g's extra to cover water loss, shake formation, scale variations, etc.

an 1/8th weighs 3.54 grams. depending on quality/dealer/relationship, it can weigh anywhere from 3-5 grams w/ or w/o the bag. I've seen bags in all different sizes, sealable sandwch bags weigh about 2g. reg sand bags weigh .6-1.2 grams, I used to get little craft bags that sealed that weigh .5g, but then freezer bags weigh 5-7g, and if they stuff all that in dbl vacuum bag then we're talkin about an ounce of plastic

big fun, you also have to take into consideration the market, if its a sellers market(hard to find) expect to pay up to 70-80 for top quality stuff. Anyone Ive run into that sells HQ, sells strate up, no pinchin or bonuses. As when you get into higher quantities, you can lose quite a bit to moisture, or misweighing to the tune of almost a 1/2oz, which can be $200-250. The cheaper pushers will tend to give you more to sell it faster and get their money back quicker. The dimes I've got varied in wieght, but it was always 10 bucks(hence the dime) so good stuff was like.6, but i havent got cheap for at least a decade.
